Born in North Yorkshire, I am now an author, actor, musician and song writer, previously being a therapist, trainer and researcher, specialising in mental health. He was educated in Middlesbrough, Sheffield and Cambridge. With a fascination for Welsh History, I create worlds within worlds; magical, haunting, spirituality permeating sound moral codes of life. I live quietly with Debbie Eve (also my illustrator and our dog, Noodle in a small cottage surrounded by the beauty of the Brecon Beacons in the Valleys of South Wales.

SECOND INDEPENDENT BOOKSHOP IN WALES AGREES TO STOCK CRACH FFINNANT – THE PROPHECY

A wonderful way to sign off this weeks activity, with the second independent bookshop in Wales agreeing to put Crach Ffinnant – The Prophecy, on its shelves. A busy bookshop in the thriving town of Ammanford with great frontage, a super stock of books. I can’t really go in a bookshop without coming out with something. Thank you Debbie Eve for my early birthday present, Celtic Folklore Welsh & Manx Vol 1 .. an incredible primary source edition by John Rhys… bit of light perusal at dusk, ‘the time between times’ when all stories were told around the fires in times gone by. Debbie Eve and I were impressed by this shop and in particular with the owner, Tim. My friends, this is a man who knows every book in his shop! Well worth a visit.

It is with great pleasure after only two weeks since it was released, we announce, Cover to Cover http://cover-to-cover.co.uk/ in the Mumbles, Swansea is the first Independent Bookshop in Wales to stock Crach Ffinnant – The Prophecy. LAZZMATAZZ WELCOMES CRACH FFINNANT – THE PROPHECY

Here, in the historic Welsh town of Llandovery, ensconced in the rustic Castle Hotel, Debbie Eve and I contemplate the day. It is fitting ‘Crach Ffinnant – The Prophecy’ is launched publicly for the first time here in this town. Whilst Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) English hero of the Battle of Trafalgar, stayed here several times on his way to Pembroke, often, coincidentally, when Lady Hamilton was too, Crach Ffinnant would have visited Llandovery a number of times in the middle ages. Of course, that was a long time before Admiral Nelson. The Castle Hotel did not exist back in the 1400’s but Llandovery Castle did and sits behind the hotel on the Castle Mound overlooking the town. Crach Ffinnant, Prophet and Seer, would definitely have visited this town whilst riding at the side of his Prince, Owain Glyndwr, between 1390 – 1410. Lazzmatazz is a festival of my own creation, born four years ago acting as a platform for new musicians, poets and writers. To launch Crach Ffinnant – The Prophecy at this festival in this town is a real privilege and honour.

So off for a quick breakfast and then start setting up the site, ready to open this evening at six. This is so exciting and I am sure Crach FFinnant, would see all this as ‘Justice’. Diolch!

Llewelyn ap Gruffudd Fychan statue overlooks the town. Llywelyn ap Gruffydd Fychan of Caeo ( c. 1341–1401) was a wealthy Carmarthenshire landowner who was executed in Llandovery by Henry IV of England in punishment for his support of Owain Glyndŵr‘s Welsh rebellion.
